Bonded T1

Bonded T1 with Speeds of 3 Mbps to 12 Mbs

A T1 is an industry-standard 1.5 Mbps circuit used to carry voice and data packets. Bonded T1 consists of up to four 1.5 Mbps T1 circuits that behave as one circuit. Speeds are available up to 12 Mbps. Bonded T1 also referred to as NXT1 service enables multiple T1 circuits to be configured together to provide your business with one large Internet circuit.

Carriers can now have the ability to offer bonded T1 circuits in increments of 3 Mbps to 12 Mbps. Using MLPPP (Multi Link Point to Point Protocol) ISP’s are able to accomplish the bonding of multiple circuits to provide the user with one logical connection to the internet.

Bonded T1 solutions are economical and scalable for clients who are in need of connectivity greater than a T1. Save money by leveraging T1 infrastructure compared to DS-3 facilities. Scale quickly and efficiently by adding additional T1 circuits as your business grows. Ensure reliability by Carrier backed Service Level Agreements.

Bundle in a managed router to ensure a seamless solution as you scale for larger capacity.

  • Speeds of 3 Mbps to 12 Mbs
  • Ability to “bond” 2 to 8 Internet T1’s
  • Fast rate quotes
  • Multi T1 Lines
  • Multiple options from AT&T, Verizon, tw telcom and Qwest

We provide Network Solutions on your terms.

Tech Note:A bonded T1 just means that the you have two – four T1 lines (from the same provider) which have been joined together in a special way so that you can use the combined total of 3.0 Mbps of Internet data or the 46 channels for voice/phone use.

Two bonded T1s allow you to use the full bandwidth of 3Mbps where two individual T1s can still only use a maximum of 1.5Mbps at one time. To be bonded the T1 must run into the same router at the end, meaning they must run to the same ISP.

Basic Facts About the Two Network Cabling Standards

Currently, there are two network cabling standards. It is essential to apply these standards for a proper installation of cables, safety from electrical accidents and a better system for network connection. The two standards for an RJ-45 modular connector are T568A and T568B which is permitted based on TIA/EIA-568-A standards for wiring.

The only dissimilarity between the two network cabling standards is the arrangement of green and orange wire pairs; they are completely interchanged. Deciding which network cabling standards to use is based on the following factors:

  • Check which pattern is suitable for the job specification
  • Always ask the customer which particular network cabling standard he or she prefers: T568A or T568B
  • If you have purchased patch panels in advance, it is either T568A or T568B. Thus, the jacks should be patterned according to the patch panels.
  • The new wiring must be compatible with the existing wiring to prevent incompatibility.

If the factors given above do not apply, you have the choice whether to use either of the two network cabling standards. Just keep in mind that the new connectors being installed should match the existing connectors. In general, T568B is generally used with business installations, whereas T568A is commonly seen on residential installations. In the event the installation is not specified, T568B are normally used.

Due to advances in technology, most of the equipment used to install networks today provides wiring patterns for both T568A and T568B. As mentioned above that the only difference is the interchanged orange and green wires, thus manufacturers discovered the way to establish the two existing network cabling standards on their hardware easily. This is possible through color coding to determine the standard. Overall, this kind of hardware is definitely preferred by many installers due to its flexibility. If you have specific questions about network cabling standards, you might want to contact a professional like Level One Communications.

Small Business Voice Mail System – The Benefits and Drawbacks

It is common knowledge that to have a successful business you need to use the latest technology in running your business. One of the most important parts of the newer technology is a great business voice mail system in conjunction with an excellent phone system to be able to provide seamless communications between employees and customers. Customer satisfaction is vital in any successful business.

There are lots of benefits and and a few drawbacks to consider when using a business voice mail system within your company. Any business voice mail system is integrated with a caller identification feature that would allow the owner of the business to call back the customer just in case the caller forgot to leave their contact information. A voice mail system also has a feature that provides information to the business as to what date or what time the customer called.

A lot of the business voice mail system comes with sound alerts to inform the business owner that a voice mail message has just arrived. It helps you respond immediately to the calling party without any delay thus providing better service to clients. There are other voice mail systems that contain extra features that will help your business grow and become successful in a relatively short amount of time. This is great for small offices where space is a concern. It also lessens your phone expenses.

A business voice mail system also has its drawbacks. There are a limited number of voice mail boxes that the system can accommodate. Also, getting the retrieval password is possible, especially for hackers. This possible security issue with voice mail could have a negative effect on a business.
